The Nebraska Lasers program was established in 1995 and has continued to grow each and every year. The program originally was developed to serve young ladies in 4^th through 8^th grade but has expanded to include summer high school teams with both the youth and high school programs growing significantly over the past few years. The winter youth program has grown to 23+ teams 2^nd - 8^th grade.  The summer high school program continues to compete in tournaments all over the Midwest.

Allen Simpson, the club director, says the success of the Lasers program is due to the outstanding coaches in the program and the organizations philosophy which encourages our young ladies to be multi-sport athletes but to concentration on basketball during the basketball season. The high school success is based on the goal of not interfering with the young ladies high school summer activities and working in alignment with their high school coaches.
